Toole's Bio
Pat Toole is currently general manager,
IBM Engineering & Technology Services (E&TS), a new services business
within IBM Systems and Technology Group. IBM E&TS designs and delivers
custom technology and business solutions, leveraging IBM’s portfolio of
intellectual property and best technology practices.
Mr. Toole joined IBM Technology Group in November 2001 as vice
president, worldwide sales and support, with responsibility for
worldwide marketing and sales before assuming his current position.
Prior to joining TG Mr. Toole was vice president, solutions, in IBM’s
Storage Systems Group. His previous two positions were in IBM Sales and
Distribution serving as general manager, business-to-business solutions;
and before that general manager of engineering solutions. Since joining
IBM in 1984 he held a variety of executive and management positions in
manufacturing, engineering, information systems, marketing, and sales;
including senior site location executive, Charlotte, North Carolina.
Mr. Toole is a member of Mr. Palmisano’s senior leadership group.
Mr. Toole holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the
University of Notre Dame and a master's degree in business
administration from Queen's University. He is a member of the McColl
Graduate School of Business Board of Visitors at Queens University, a
member of the University of Notre Dame Electrical Engineering/Computer
Science Engineering Industry Advisory Committee, and the IBM coordinator
for the Notre Dame Corporate Agent Program. Mr. Toole is actively
involved in the advancement of technology within his community. |
