CIT

Innovations’09 is hosted by the College of Information Technology (CIT), UAE University. The CIT was founded in 2001 and is the newest addition to the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) the oldest and largest university in the UAE. The CIT is staffed with over 50 PhDs as well as Instructors and professional IT developers engaged in developing industry standard solutions and products. The CIT has been recently selected by IBM as one of only 10 worldwide institutions for a major R&D award in the area of Cell Processor Development Technology. As of September 2007, the CIT has recently moved into a fantastic 300,000 square foot new building with state of the art class room teaching technology and laboratories including the Interactive Robots and Media lab, the SUN Center of Excellence in Information Security, the Bioinformatics lab, 5 Networking labs, 5 Information Security labs, the Usability lab, 2 VLSI/ASIC Design Labs and the Super Grid Computing Lab.

Upon entering Al-Ain on Mohammed Ibn Khalifa St. go straight for SIX roundabouts(R/A) named:

ü      Al Rumeilah R/A

ü      Dolphin R/A

ü      Al Qattara Club R/A

ü      Al Khrais R/A

ü      Al Aulaimy R/A

ü      Zayed Central Library R/A

Make a right turn on Al Qasr R/A
Go straight for FOUR roundabouts:

ü      Zayed Al Khaeer R/A

ü      Jabal R/A

ü      Al Diwan R/A

ü      F.D.Foundation R/A

Make a U-Turn on Twam R/A
Go straight for approximately 2.4 Kilometers; (you will see two orange buildings on your right); turn right into the street leading to the orange buildings and then make another immediate right.
Follow the road to the CIT building.

From Khalifa Ibn Zayed St (Abu Dhabi – Al-Ain road), Go straight to Twam R/A
Go straight past Twam R/A for approximately 2.4 Kilometers; (you will see two orange buildings on your right); turn right into the street leading to the orange buildings and then make another immediate right.
Follow the road to the CIT building.
