Student Poster Session
The Innovations’09 Student Participation Committee invites all undergraduate and graduate students to submit an extended
(2 pages max.) abstract to display a poster at the Innovations’09. The presentation should embrace the conference theme, “Innovations in Information Technology”.
Purpose
The main purpose of this Student Poster session is to:

Recognize students and give them the opportunity to:

Practice their visual, written, and oral communication skills in a professional conference environment

Share their research/project work with students and faculty from other institutions
-
Improve the visibility of student efforts
-
Recognize excellence in student projects

All students are encouraged to review their abstracts with their faculty advisors prior to submission.
All accepted abstracts will be published by the Innovations 2009 proceedings.
Best Student Poster Awards
This year, there will be a competition for best student poster award at the Innovations 2009. This award will be given to recognize student excellence in research and presentation.
All accepted posters will be eligible for nomination for this award providing they meet the requirements and guidelines for student poster session as described on the website. The presentations should consist of well-prepared materials about the work, posted on a designated board. It is required that an author should be registered for the conference and in attendance to present details and answer questions during the designated session time. Since the award will be made at the session, it is recommended that the authors be present for the majority of the session.
A Poster Award Committee will review all of the extended abstracts and the
posters. Selections will mainly be based on the level of the innovation,
research, final output, quality of the poster, and clarity of the presentation.
